Webb Yates Engineers is a creative multidisciplinary engineering practice with offices in London and Birmingham. It prides itself on its close collaboration with architects to achieve intelligent, innovative structures and its large portfolio spanning from arts to aviation, prototyping to housing, and inflatables to loadbearing stone.
We are looking for outstanding Graduate Structural, Civil or Building Services Engineers to join our multi award winning consultancy. The applicant should have an enthusiasm for sustainability, the built environment and architecture and should be keen to develop professionally in these fields. The successful candidate, who will join our practice August to October 2024, will have a sound understanding of engineering principles and be expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 honours and Master’s degree.
You will be expected to work alongside more senior engineers on all stages of the design of buildings and other projects. This will include initial scheme design of options, design development and coordination with other members of the design teams, detailed design calculations, assisting in the preparation of working drawings and details together with site inspections. You will be expected to undertake computer analyses for more complex solutions.
You will work as part of our team with full supervision and training as necessary and can expect greater responsibilities and swift career progression with experience. Webb Yates Engineers provides leadership and support for junior engineers to gain sufficient experience and training in working towards their professional status with relevant institution for their job role (ICE, IStructE, IMechE for example).
