Planning achieved for Birkbeck's Cambridge House
Plans to extend and refurbish Cambridge House into a new teaching centre for Birkbeck, University of London, have been approved by Camden planners.
The 1920s former car showroom on Euston Road, will be used as a second campus for the evening university, providing nearly 2000m2 of space. Designed with architecture firm, Penoyre & Prasad, the plans include a learning space at the ground floor, basement teaching space and a large geometric lecture theatre in the rooftop extension.
